CDL Driver- Part Time- Chittenango, NY, Middletown, NY & Ravena, NY

The primary function of a Part Time Driver is to safely deliver and/or pickup buses to and from customer locations and other New York Bus Sales locations throughout New York State.

JOB SUMMARY

The primary function of a Part Time Driver is to safely deliver and/or pickup buses to and from customer locations and other New York Bus Sales locations throughout New York State.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver the assigned vehicle to its destination without incident.
  • Deliver paperwork with the bus and collect check and other pertinent information from customers.
  • Complete a cleanliness inspection and ensure the bus is clean at point of delivery.
  • Pre-trip/Post-trip delivery vehicles (e.g. checking fluid levels, fueling, cleaning, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring safe operation of the vehicle.
  • Follow all prescribed safety methods and perform work safely.
  • Deliver buses from customer locations to New York Bus Sales locations for repair, service, and/or warranty work.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • NYS CDL Class A or B. Passenger endorsement preferred
  • Clean driving record

Part-Time up to 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, Day Shift.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Wash vehicles using cleaners and equipment available according to specific procedures.
  • Clean the wash bay at the end of each day.
  • Assist with Pre-Delivery Inspections
  • Follow all prescribed safety methods and procedures.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Possess a valid NYS Driver’s License, Minimum Class D and a clean driving record.

Part-Time up to 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, Day Shift.

Mech Tech- Full Time - Chittenango, NY, Middletown, NY, Morris, NY, & Whitney Point, NY

The primary function of the Mech Tech is to inspect, maintain, and repair automobiles, trucks, and buses that run on gasoline, diesel, electricity, or alternative fuels such as propane. Perform repairs to vehicles, including fuel, ignition, electrical, and cooling systems, power transmission and differentials, universal joints and hydraulic units, steering mechanisms, and other controls, wheel alignments and emission control systems.

JOB SUMMARY

The primary function of the Mech Tech is to inspect, maintain, and repair automobiles, trucks, and buses that run on gasoline, diesel, electricity, or alternative fuels such as propane. Perform repairs to vehicles, including fuel, ignition, electrical, and cooling systems, power transmission and differentials, universal joints and hydraulic units, steering mechanisms, and other controls, wheel alignments and emission control systems.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs basic preventive maintenance work on automobiles, trucks, and buses to required standards.
  • Performs necessary inspection and basic repairs to bring vehicles into compliance.
  • Prepares buses and vehicles for DOT inspection. Maintains and repairs all electrical components, such as directional lights, safety warning, lights, starting and charging systems, etc., on all types of vehicles.
  • Troubleshoots vehicles in need of repair, including electrical troubleshooting.
  • Installs vehicle repair components.
  • Replaces exterior engine components.
  • Inspects and makes minor repairs to transmissions and drive line components.
  • Performs cleaning of internal and external engine components. May be required to service equipment with gasoline, oil, and grease; may spray paint engine.
  • Performs emergency road service.
  • May perform minor welding repair once training is received.
  • Performs AC installs with assistance.
  • Performs brake pulls on buses and vehicles.
  • Follow all prescribed safety methods and perform work safely.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1-2 years minimum related experience preferred.
  • Possess a CDL, Class B driver’s license with passenger and air brake endorsements.
  • Obtain ASE Test Series for School Bus S1 – S6: Body Systems & Special Equipment, Brakes, Suspension & Steering
  • Perform skilled automotive repair work involving the use of specialized tools, instruments and equipment.
  • Ability to diagnose the source of a problem quickly and accurately. Ability to understand oral and written instructions sufficiently to follow supervisor instructions and work orders.

The primary function of the Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) Technician is to perform pre-delivery inspections on all types of buses. The PDI Tech will modify non-compliant buses to meet customer and DOT specifications.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand DOT requirements with relation to School and Commercial buses.
  • Read and understand PDI work orders as to what is required on the bus.
  • Modify each bus, if necessary, to meet DOT and customer specifications with regards to seat placement, air systems, chassis, and body.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with DOT inspector and work with them on inspection day.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Knowledge of DOT requirements for commercial and school vehicles.
  • Read and understand DOT and Blue Bird specification sheets.

Full-Time, Monday-Friday, Day Shift.

JOB SUMMARY

The primary function of the Inside Parts Sales Person is to sell parts to all internal and external customers via phone, email, parts counter, and/or service counter.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist all internal and external customers in selecting the appropriate parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
  • Answer phone calls: Provide sales quotes and other information and generate sales orders.
  • Properly read repair orders and Pre-Delivery Inspections and order the proper parts.
  • Correctly allocate all parts to the proper jobs. Notify internal customers when all parts for repair orders have been received.
  • Notify parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
  • Follow up on back ordered parts.
  • Report inventory discrepancies to inventory control person. Keep orderly records of all repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates, and special-order parts.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Good organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Read bus and parts diagrams to properly identify parts.
  • Perform numeric calculations accurately when calculating prices and sales for customers.

Full-Time, Monday-Friday, Day Shift.
